Pride Month 2026

Join us Saturday June 20th, 2026 for Pride in the Park

12-5pm at Mohawk Park, Brantford

Description of Pride in the Park 

-The event is located at the bottom of Mohawk Park

- close to Mohawk Lake and the Mohawk Pavilion.

Park Pavilion

-In addition to the DJ who was at the event last year, there will be drag and musical performances at the event this year. At peak times, the path the booths are set up along can be very crowded.

-Pets are welcome in the park, so please note there tend to be lots of leashed, Pride dogs meandering the park with their owners.

-There is a BBQ this year with a suggested donation of $5.00, there will be beef, chicken, and vegetarian options, and lots of grilling smells to be aware of.

-Please ask at the red pride tent about our pay it forward program. ( to ensure those that do not have 5.00 can also have food as well )

-The area in the park where the festival is happening is near a splash pad.

-Please note that areas closer to the splash pad can smell chlorinated. 

-This year we have a designated indoor lower-sensory area with water, sunglasses, blankets, ice, colouring sheets and ear plugs in the Mohawk Pavilion building.

-Feel free to use this space, and let folks know about it if they need it! 

-The booths are all set up along a paved path, which is flat and navigable with most mobility devices. 

-Mobility devices can be charged in the pavilion, just ask a Pride Committee member for access.   

-There is a bathroom area at the location of the festival.

-Our committee puts up signs to indicate which have stalls and which have urinals, and they are gender-free spaces for the event.

-There is a single-use accessible bathroom in this space as well. 

Parking! Transit! 

-There is a fair amount of parking directly in the event area, and throughout the park.

-There will be a designated drop off space very close to the event space.

- all parking in the park is free. 

-Mohawk park is accessible by bus route “9 Echo Place and Sinclair Boulevard Loop”

-The closest stop is Colborne St. E at First Street (past Pauline Johnson High School) and it is about a 15-20 minute walk down to the event space.
